People ask me all the time, “What’s the number one thing I need to know about Safari?” The first thing out of my mouth is always the same,

Today, WALLSabout is running dozens of trips annually and not all of them are safaris, but my advice above still applies – all of our trips require extreme experience on the ground, and execution that lives up to our clients' very high expectations. While I can’t share even a fraction of what goes into one of our trips in this small space, I can share some of our defining characteristics:

We Are NOT a Travel Agency

Unlike travel agents and google searches, we actually run the trips we sell. The buck stops here! From the time you book a WALLSabout trip until the time you return home you have the service of a kind and knowledgeable member of my team. In other words, you will have the service of real humans–not chat bots–seven days a week before you leave and 24/7 while on the trip. Welcome to WALLSabout–this is just how we do things!

Dedicated Travel Team = Seamless Travel

My dedicated Travel Concierge Team (TC’s) will prepare you for every part of your trip. They fill out your visas that will magically appear on your phone, they provide detailed packing lists and promptly answer your questions, they will even book your international flights and so much more. This dedicated team is with you every step of the way, ensuring your trip is smooth, stress-free, and unforgettable. The word we hear most often when we ask for feedback is “seamless” and that is exactly my Travel Team’s goal!

Expert Guides

Our expert local guides are the best in their respective fields. I’ve handpicked them over the years and they are the same guides I use when I’m on a trip. They are more than just experts—many of them have become lifelong friends. Our travelers often comment, “I feel like I went on a trip with Benji’s inner circle.” Their passion, enthusiasm, and expertise facilitate a deep connection to each location we travel.

We Don’t Send You, We Take You!

All of our primary itineraries are led by a head guide that we call a Program Director (PD). Our PD’s report directly to me and are in charge of every element of your trip. Each PD is like a human Swiss army knife — they are sharp, knowledgeable, poised, personable, and quite funny. They make sure that the trip runs as smoothly as possible and are there to ensure any bumps are smoothed out ASAP.

Hand-Crafted Trips by Yours Truly

Hand-crafted means that I’ve distilled decades of my personal experience into a single itinerary. I design each trip with a singular question: if I could only go back one last time, where would I go and what would I do!? I work diligently to cherry pick the best of the best for our travelers — my favorite parks, lodges, guides, 4x4s, and even key conservation partners, park rangers, etc. I consider it a privilege to share these destinations with our travelers and take great pride in designing every detail.

Luxury Priorities! Beyond Crystal Chandeliers & Fancy Boots

I recently read an article about the best fancy boots to wear on safari by an influencer that is selling safaris online so she can work from home. Another recent read touted the crystal chandeliers at a property that I happen to know is in a terrible location. Real talk, I love the finer things, but my priorities when it comes to luxury start with the actual tangible experience – the properties, the vehicles, the sightings and the combined experience! I personally stay at dozens of prospective properties myself – this is not the holiday it sounds like – I take this process very seriously!
